From Researching Nola to Publishing Nola

In November 2005, the Mathieu Brothers returned home to NOLA. M. D. Woods followed and documented the re-population of the 7th Ward and the Treme (tra-may). The following year The Contraflow Project (TCP), a nonprofit independent research organization, was launched to document post-Katrina New Orleans and research the Katrina response. TCP has formed a strategic alliance with Treme Press to publish digital, print and audio books. Treme Press’ mission is to bring new information to light on the Katrina response and to share the experiences of everyday life in post-Katrina New Orleans.

Wait a minute, there is music coming from a few blocks away; and getting closer. Hold up…

…only in New Orleans will a few hundred people stroll, chant, bounce and dance by on any given Sunday afternoon like it’s nothing. Yeah you right! Ok, Treme Press, bringing you stories about New Orleans culture and the Katrina response. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
